[ An almost deathly quiet hangs over the city, but the young lady can't help appreciating the silence while it lasts. Earlier today it was not nearly so tranquil; yet another of this realm's upheavals had taken place, and healers like her had been run ragged trying to keep as many people as possible from sustaining any lasting injuries. By the time it was through she was spent, and heading home alongside her companion had seemed preferable to making the trip alone when she'd been tired enough that putting one foot in front of the other was a challenge. ]
[ Stopping to rest on this bench hadn't been meant to take so long, yet Naminé can't bring herself to mind. Her normally upright posture has been foregone for once, and instead she sits curled up close to Hope's side, their arms touching lightly. Her lack of energy feels somehow soothing now, when they can sit together in the peaceful silence, her guard down in ways it so rarely ever can be. ]
[ Exhaling, she shifts for the first time in a solid minute, and when her fingers splay they bump gently against his. The sides of their hands line up just so that that touch very slightly, and Naminé is not at all inclined to ruin that if she can help it.
