Here kitty kitty~

[Inching through the shadows along behind Riku, Vanitas is having a grand old time messing with the manticore.

He's bored and can't help himself.

His eyes are narrowed to thin slits to help him hide a bit better, a wide grin splitting his lips as he moves forward through the shadows--

Enough to pull on Riku's tail before disappearing into the shadows of the trees with a gleeful laugh.]

[darkbreak]

[You know, talking kind of gives your location away. Or at least lets a particular cat know he's getting stalked.

Almost immediately he begins to growl, ears flattening as he tries to see where the Shade is. By now, he can tell who's who with that voice, not to mention their scents.

He yelps and turns around to swat and bare his teeth at the retreating shadow. Ugh, what a jerk.]

What do you want?

[bleedingunversed]

[Ahead of Riku on the path, the shadows twist and form into Vanitas's body though he's a bit larger than normal, hunched over almost onto all fours.]

I missed you~ Can't I miss my friends?

[The words are practically purred before the shadow let's out a shrill giggle again before he's disappearing into the shadows, circling around Riku.]

Where are your friends, huh? Kitty kitty's all alone~

[darkbreak]

[The more the shade talks, the louder the cat growls until he's practically snarling.]

Hard to believe that. We are not friends.

[Not when it feels like he's mocking him in this form. The manticore could easily shift form, but he's sure Vanitas would figure something out. Damned shadow.

Instead he'll just press on, ears still flat and eyes sharp. Dammit, all he wanted was to do a little hunting tonight. Is that too much to ask for?]

Go away, you pest.

[His answer is just an echoed laughter from all around as Vanitas just let's himself melt further into the shadows and lose his more solid form completely.]

So angry. You really need to work on that.

[It's said in a taunting manner, glowing eyes appearing off to Riku's left.]

That temper's going to get you in trouble one day, kitty~

[He can't help it if he doesn't like you, Vanitas. Really, with the resemblance to Sora, he shouldn't since there's a connection of some sort there. But with that grating personality...

He doesn't give the shadow on his left even a glance.]

And your persistence is going to get you killed.

[Riku stops in his tracks and readies himself to leap up onto the nearest tree branch. Even in his smaller form, he manages to make it.]
