[It hurts. It hurts so bad when his heart stops beating, he doesn't know what to do. He was just out walking with his friend when it happened, when he finally "died." It's been long in coming; his health has been failing since he arrived, his normally healthy if slender body becoming nearly skeletal and weak. Still, he insisted on walking on his own, but now, as he sinks to one knee with a little gasp, Axel knows that it wasn't just sickness, that he didn't somehow escape this place's curse.]

[Roxas has been dealing with his changes gradually. Horns growing from his head, a tail painfully growing from his rear, his hands slowly sharpening into claws, and the day he'd spent blind while his eyes went black with yellow irises. Axel had been there through all of it, and he was glad for that. He'd been trying to be there for Axel as well, but the redhead was making it hard as he refused to take it easy.

And now this.]

Axel!

[He'd taken a few more steps before he realized his friend wasn't there, before he'd heard the voice and turned to run back to him. He dropped to his knees in front of him, hands hovering and unsure.]

What's happening? What can I do for you?

[Axel's changes are going slower. The most noticeable was the rapid weight loss; he's gone from slender-but-healthy to skin-and-bones in a matter of weeks. But now something new has started, and he's in agony.]

It hurts... My heart hurts.

[He was delighted to have one, at first. Delighted to be human again, to have feelings. But now... now he regrets ever having it. He raises one near-skeletal hand to his chest and is appalled to find the new development.]

Roxas, it's not beating!
