1. first kiss 💘 the classic. maybe you've wanted to kiss them since you first met, or maybe you're just now realizing how you feel toward them. either way, the time is finally right... 2. mistletoe 💘 it's the most wonderful time of the year, and what better way to spend it than under that one holiday plant with someone special? the mistletoe can be either normal or the wacky "you're stuck together until you kiss" variety, whichever you feel at the time. 3. new years 💘 another favorite tradition. there's something magical about ringing in the new year with a kiss, whether you're in the crowd watching the festivities, out for a late night dinner, or curled up together at home. maybe you could come up with some resolutions together, too. 4. spin the bottle 💘 a party game that everyone knows, even if they've never played it before. it was all fun and games until your turn to spin ended with it pointing at them. if you guys are dating, it's a lot less awkward. if not... well, the bottle has spoken. 5. in the rain 💘 a light rain starts to fall during the middle of whatever you two were out doing. maybe there's something about the droplets in their hair that sets something aflutter within you... or maybe you just really liked that one scene from the first spider-man movie. an umbrella is optional. 6. just friends 💘 you don't always need to be in a relationship to kiss someone! if you're the physically affectionate type, maybe a friendly kiss is just your way of showing you care about someone. 7. seven minutes in heaven 💘 the premise: you and your partner have been stuck into a closet, whether by your friends during a party or by some unseen magical force. the condition: the door's not supposed to open unless you kiss for at least seven minutes. what do you do? 8. farewell 💘 sometimes things must come to an end; sometimes they were never meant to be. whether one of you is moving, things didn't work out, or...well, something more tragic, there's a very real possibility that you won't get to see them in a while... or ever again. try and make it count. 9. wildcard 💘 got something in mind that doesn't quite fit one of the above prompts? totally fine! just toss something up and i'll be more than happy to play whatever smooches you want ♥ ( characters )

[If the world were a safer place not governed by the harshest laws of nature, where they didn't have to work from sunrise to sunset to keep their little community going, Fang would've loved nothing more than to kiss her partner until they both dozed off in the shade of the tall stalks.]

[But that wasn't the case. Fang's heartrate hadn't slowed any, spurred on by excitement and anticipation and calloused hands and soft, warm lips. She's always been an extremely passionate person, and she's easily swept up in the rush, humming low in her throat and deepening the kiss before too long.]

[when fang growls, the corners of vanille's lips turn upward. she breaks the kiss for only a couple of seconds to teasingly whisper,]

Ooh, you naughty girl, you...

[and after that, her lips are on fang's just as quickly as they'd left. the thrill of fang returning her affections lifts her spirits higher than anything else ever could. the villagers of oerba have always been a close-knit family... but this bond between just the two of them means so much more than that, doesn't it?

now that she's sitting upright, she takes a gamble and attempts to shimmy her way onto fang's lap, hoping her partner does not react in an unkind manner to the gesture. who was she calling the naughty one, again?]

[Gods, she should reject an advance like that—just for the time being—because it was sending Fang's mind to places it really didn't need to be right now, but how could she?]

[Her partner's forwardness surprises her a little. Fang leans back on one hand, the brush of her weapon's worn metal under her fingers—remember where you are—grounding her a little, as her other arm curls around Vanille's waist. Even so, she's not entirely successful in staving off the thoughts of Vanille's too-familiar touch; Fang's no stranger to it, either from comfort or working a knotted muscle or cleaning her wounds to a dozen other things, but it's alarming easy (and not for the first time) to imagine those hands, gliding over her skin for once without a purpose.]

[If she'd been in control of the pace of this lazy afternoon—remember where you are!—Fang certainly wasn't now as she presses more eagerly into the kiss, her arm pulling the younger woman closer.]
