i said i wanted to rp smooches
1. first kiss 💘 the classic. maybe you've wanted to kiss them since you first met, or maybe you're just now realizing how you feel toward them. either way, the time is finally right... 2. mistletoe 💘 it's the most wonderful time of the year, and what better way to spend it than under that one holiday plant with someone special? the mistletoe can be either normal or the wacky "you're stuck together until you kiss" variety, whichever you feel at the time. 3. new years 💘 another favorite tradition. there's something magical about ringing in the new year with a kiss, whether you're in the crowd watching the festivities, out for a late night dinner, or curled up together at home. maybe you could come up with some resolutions together, too. 4. spin the bottle 💘 a party game that everyone knows, even if they've never played it before. it was all fun and games until your turn to spin ended with it pointing at them. if you guys are dating, it's a lot less awkward. if not... well, the bottle has spoken. 5. in the rain 💘 a light rain starts to fall during the middle of whatever you two were out doing. maybe there's something about the droplets in their hair that sets something aflutter within you... or maybe you just really liked that one scene from the first spider-man movie. an umbrella is optional. 6. just friends 💘 you don't always need to be in a relationship to kiss someone! if you're the physically affectionate type, maybe a friendly kiss is just your way of showing you care about someone. 7. seven minutes in heaven 💘 the premise: you and your partner have been stuck into a closet, whether by your friends during a party or by some unseen magical force. the condition: the door's not supposed to open unless you kiss for at least seven minutes. what do you do? 8. farewell 💘 sometimes things must come to an end; sometimes they were never meant to be. whether one of you is moving, things didn't work out, or...well, something more tragic, there's a very real possibility that you won't get to see them in a while... or ever again. try and make it count. 9. wildcard 💘 got something in mind that doesn't quite fit one of the above prompts? totally fine! just toss something up and i'll be more than happy to play whatever smooches you want ♥ |

[Fang hadn't had the chance to relax like this in a while. She never thought she'd be grateful for it being so damned hot, but if the unforgiving heat meant it was simply too hot to be productive... who could blame them for taking a few hours for themselves?]
[She had her lance nearby, of course; she never went anywhere without it anymore. But hunting and roaming predators and threats of invasion were the furthest thing from Fang's mind right now, as the gentle tugging and touches of Vanille's fingers in her hair coaxed the older Pulsian into closing her eyes. The uneven lengths of her hair probably made the task a little difficult, but Fang honestly didn't care what it looked like in the end; as long as Vanille was enjoying herself.]
no subject
she was thankful for Fang's playing along with her more lighthearted antics, even if her subject's locks were making it a little hard to accomplish her task as expected. as she laced daintly-looking petals and stems into Fang's hair, she made a slight noise of disapproval, mouth upturned.]
You need to take better care of your hair, Fang. It's so tangled that I don't know if even I can save it!
[bent over so that she loomed above Fang, her face was scrunched up in her usual pout. hanging upside-down before the other girl might have seemed obnoxious, but Vanille... was just being Vanille, of course.]
no subject
[She opened her eyes when a shadow fell across her face, unflinchingly meeting Vanille's pout with that same smile. Of course Fang wasn't bothered by the other girl's antics; if she was, wouldn't be spending her precious free time in the other's company.]
Mm? Guess it's beyond saving, then. Why should I even bother? [Her voice took on a playfully-exasperated tone at the last bit. She already had her 'why'; if it made Vanille happy, Fang'd at least consider the suggestion, if she had the time for it.]
i'll remember to tag more than once every couple of weeks i swear
Do you want me to chop it all off, then? I could do that, too.
[she's mostly joking, but she could very well make good on her word...]
no subject
You, [Fang rolls onto her side, propped up by an elbow. She looks down at Vanille with a grin and a raised eyebrow, trying to ignore the offending strands ghosting across her cheek, and pokes her companion lightly in the forehead.] Wouldn't dare. How would you lace flowers in my hair then, hmm? Besides, you know it looks good on me.
[Fang certainly did, and she was rather proud of the fact. This whole thing was likely play, and a little part of her was betting on that Vanille wouldn't take this as a challenge. Fang liked her hair, dammit.]
no subject
You know it'd grow back eventually! The point would be the lesson it'd teach you about not sassing me.
[.. even though she's well aware of the fact that, without sass, Fang would not be Fang. to further stick it to the other girl, she sticks out her tongue with a "myeehhh" sound, proving that she is definitely an adult who handles things in a definitely adult manner.]

So are we're gonna Notebook it up in here?? Sorta...
No such luck.
It was a tight squeeze, and the only way for the two of them to fit was one of them had to stand with their back against the wall while the other stands in front. To anyone who didn't know the context of the situation might assume that Neku had pinned Shiki against the wall and was about to have his way with her.
Nothing could have been farther from the truth.
Although, when Shiki opened her eyes, she blushed, realizing how close Neku was to her right now. She was staring into his dark blue eyes, practically a breath's width apart from each other, making her blush even more. She hugged her bag and Mr. Mew tighter to her chest, gulping. She hated how awfully aware she was when it came to Neku Sakuraba these days. She used to be so comfortable around him, comfortable enough to even hold his hand or hug him. But now...
Hopefully her heart wasn't beating that loudly for Neku to hear.]
Um! [She finally speaks, lowering her head suddenly.] I-I'm sorry! I thought we could both fit in here...
no subject
what had changed between them, since their first meeting so long ago? they'd been through literal matters of life and death (afterlife and erasure, actually, but who's considering specifics?) as partners before... so why is there this unexplained pressure in the air? he'd never been one to be big on physicality, but that's not the case now. he knows enough to realize that it's not a negative feeling, but other than that... he's at a loss.
her taking the initiative to speak is enough to snap him out of it (if only temporarily), but he appreciates the distraction regardless. her words, however, cause him to frown in mild frustration.]
Why are you apologizing? You don't control the weather.
no subject
She didn't know why and she didn't how and when it started to happened, but Shiki hated it. She hoped, whatever this was, ended soon. However, him being this close to her is making it really difficult to focus.]
A-ah! [His voice broke her reverie, making her stutter in response... since when she did she start starting around Neku Sakuraba?] I-I know! I just, I insisted we go here and [She looks up with a sigh.] look what good that did us...
no subject
for as clever as he could be at times, he's a little too dense himself to realize what should probably be obvious.
her stuttering takes him aback, causing him to wonder if he had said something strange to have flustered her... aside from the close quarters they're in right now. (that couldn't be it, could it? she's the one who suggested the little alcove...)
he sighs quietly, shaking his head. sometimes he wishes he knew how to get her to stop thinking negatively.]
Look, at... least we're out of the rain. Right?
1/2
No. She tells herself, tightening her hold on her bag and plush cat. God, when will this rain ever end?
Her gaze falls back to him after he speaks, his words putting her at ease a bit. Shiki finally smiles, nodding in reply.]
Yeah! Yeah, we are. We're--
no subject
[Unfortunately, the sudden crash of thunder and flash of lightning shocked Shiki, making her lean forward and bury head into the boy's shoulder without thinking. She whimpers, shutting her eyes tightly, freeing one hand to reach out and catch the end of Neku's shirt, tugging on it and effectively pulling him closer to her.
She's... not quite realizing she's doing all of this yet, her momentary fright taking over everything else.]
no subject
after a brief pause, he merely says, almost incredulously:]
Since when are you afraid of thunder?
[smooth, Neku. real smooth. way to read the mood there, buddy.]

he's never been entirely into the concept in general, even before they were whisked off onto their adventure on the night the heartless attacked. but now, when there's so much to do between training and his other duties as a new master (as well as just catching up with schoolwork? he and sora missed A LOT of that) the idea of kicking back and relaxing at one seems ridiculous.
but the king insisted that they needed a break, even if it was only for a night. and it just so happened that selphie was hosting a birthday party that most of their (fairly small) school was invited to. it's kind of awkward, being with these people that riku has admittedly not thought of since he's been gone. but kairi and sora agreed to attend, which meant that riku knew there was no way he was getting out of it.
so, here they all are. it had been pretty alright for the most part, with riku hanging out in the sidelines and people watching. but then someone suggests they play seven minutes in heaven, and kairi drags him over to participate because keyblade master or not, you're still a teenager, geez. and riku could deal with that. really, he could, except when it's his turn, his spin lands on... sora. of all people.
they are immediately shoved in the closet together. what do. ]
no subject
"what, seriously, no pin the tail on the donkey? me and Riku are gone for two years and you don't even have the best party game to welcome us back?"
he isn't really been paying attention when, after convincing Riku, Kairi comes to grab him, too. "of course, I'm coming, gimme a sec!" he says, grabbing a final snack off the kitchen table before laughing his way over to the circle. somehow, he manages to completely miss exactly what game they're playing until it's Riku's turn; in an instant, the room blows up in a cacophony of ooohs. even then, he's at a total loss for words, much less reactions.
at a speed he never achieved even once he'd completely mastered Flowmotion, he finds himself and Riku ushered into a closet, of course by none other than their redheaded best friend. as soon as she slams the door shut, his eyes waste no time in meeting Riku's, full deer-in-the-headlights.]
I have no idea what just happened.
no subject
riku stares at the now closed door for a few seconds before turning his attention to sora. it's dark in the small room, but riku is, admittedly, better at being in the dark than most people are (he literally walked around wearing a blindfold). ]
Teenagers. Teenagers is what happened.
[ he says, as if he isn't also a teenager. but it's kind of like what sora had realized; they and the rest of their schoolmates have done very different kinds of growing up. ]
no subject
[he shifts and shimmies a little in what limited room they have, only now realizing just how cramped the space is. two growing boys means there's not a lot of it to go around. as he adjusts himself, he bumps into something else in the closet—a shoe organizer, maybe—which leans his way and pushes him toward Riku, so that he's basically pressed up against the other boy.
he lets them stand in silence for a couple of seconds before he speaks again. this time, there's an audible sort of hesitance in his voice, as if being close enough to hear Riku's heartbeat and feel his breath are doing something to him. what that is... he's not entirely sure of just yet.]
So, like... we're not supposed to come out until we... kiss? How would they even know what we're doing?
no subject
he screwed himself over by not caring, darn.
riku hums quietly, wishing that he actually wore a watch so he could time this thing. they're just impractical to wear while fighting. easy to break and all. ]
I'm not sure. Maybe they have cameras installed?
[ he glances around, just in case. then again, it's dark enough in here that he's not sure if a camera would pick anything up?? ]
no subject
[another awkward shuffle on Sora's end. why, of all things, is this the first typical teen experience he's having? he hasn't even done anything more daring than hugging! ... then again, it's not all that surprising, once he gives it some thought. after all, he and Riku have been through so much together, in all the time that they've known each other, haven't they?
he blinks a couple of times, his eyes having already adjusted to the darkness, so as to properly scan Riku's face. no red flags there. (why would there be?) slowly, he says, almost mutters:]
... Wanna just get it over with? We can handle it.

In the rulebook, it says villains shouldn't date.
Not like 'can't date the same sex', just-- period, at all. You can kidnap your bride, you can have a tragic backstory where a spouse has withered away in death. You can have a villainous underling so devoted to you and your ideals that a relationship is permissable, but to be a real villain, your eyes must always be on the prize. Else, you're kind of a fuck-up. After all, love can thwart evil, and that means a villain in love is just an antagonist playing dress-up.
Omega loves Nora, though. And not in the hand-wringing bashful way. The kind of 'cup your cheek with my hand and declare I'd kickstart the heat death of the universe if the sun was too warm for you' way. She's read a lot of books about powerful, charismatic characters having declarations of love that would set anyone to swoon, and Omega sort of wants to be that kind of person. She's practiced The Look in the mirror, the cunning grin and glinting eyes befitting a queen on the throne, meeting the princess promised to wed them.
She thinks (hopes, guesses) Nora would like that kind of girl as well. Someone who exudes power and control and never lets anything topple them...
... because Omega's fantasy is being so strong, nothing could ever hurt Nora. Not with her protecting her.
But what's the kind of cool place you can take someone and give off that air? Fireworks shows, ferris wheels, those are sheepish dates for dumb babies. In public would be too much. If she wants to do this right, it has to be somewhere cool, right? Like an adventure. ]
[ She doesn't know if there'll actually be ghosts, but if they're both feeling a little spooked by every little noise, that gives Omega a chance to be brave and look cool, right? ]
no subject
you'd also be wrong on each and every count. (well, you can get leeway on the last tidbit, at least for now.)
Nora's always been a girl of simple wants and simple pleasures. few things are better to her than hanging out with friends—and it's hard to beat the opportunity to hang out with her best friend of all. she's also a little naive, as if her optimistic innocence isn't already enough. she has absolutely no clue about Omega's true feelings, and in this situation, is the kind of person who needs something to blow up right in front of her face to notice something different about the scenario at hand.
... that's not to say she'd be opposed to the idea, though, should Omega ever bring it up. it's just simply something she's never thought of before.]
[they'll just have to see how it goes from here! if there's ghosts: cool, they can take 'em! if not: the beach is always a close second.]
no subject
So when Nora arrives, they do their little fist bump and hug that always lifts her off the ground-- except this time, Omega keeps her there while letting go.
Psychic powers are fun, especially for when you have a +1 on your personal flight. But it's disorienting to suddenly go zero gravity, so she concentrates a little harder so that Nora can move freely. Like swimming, but in air and a lot faster.
She takes a few steps up off the dock into the air along beside her. ]
You know what I've always wanted to do? -- Well not wanted, because I've done it, but-- It's soooo fun to go out when people are camping and just kind of float.
[ She begins the two of them on their travel, presuming that Nora's used to it by now. She can slow down if she isn't. ]
Like, no words. No movement. Maybe a gorilla mask. They absolutely lose it. [ And then, to quickly follow up-- ] You know, sometimes I go down and tell them I'm a street magician and this'll be on YouTube later. I mean. If they have kids with them that are crying, I guess...
[ ... if it's just douches in the woods getting drunk though, she lets them believe they were haunted by flying mini-Sasquatch. ]
no subject
soon enough, though, she relaxes and sprawls out in the sky, resting her head on her crossed arms as easily as if she was floating along a lazy river.]
Dude, you're weird.
[she says jokingly, though she doesn't mean it in a mean way; like Nora is capable of being mean to Omega! it's a term of endearment, as evidenced by the genuine, lighthearted laughter that comes out of her mouth.]
Do you actually put that stuff online? Think of how many views you'd get!
no subject
[ Doing parlor tricks for humans isn't really her thing. Especially when they rebuff her with the indignity that she's showboating across fishing wire and stashing things in her gloves.
The island, when they reach it, isn't a tropical paradise marinated in warmth and a slight electricity on the air. It's a bit chilly, like you might need a jacket. The buildings that spiral up to the top of the pathway are all gift shops and information shops, completely closed down for the evening. If there's someone-- anyone-- here at all, it'd be a surprise. The only vocal residents are crickets and grasshoppers. The sky is a deep, unpolluted blue now, with just a bare sliver of cyan light at the bottom.
The over-elegant little bag that Omega has slung around her shoulder is packed with expensive sweets, snacks, and drinks. Folded at the bottom is a picnic blanket. ]
Let's head to the beach! There's a fire pit there-- and if I'm just remembering wrong, I can always make one.
no subject
at Omega's comment, Nora lights up—both figuratively and literally.]
And I can make the fire!
[sometimes she forgets she can use magic, too. right now is not one of those times.]
